Google Trends this week shows that the acronym NFT, which stands for the non-replaceable symbol, has reached a score of 100, the highest score a search query can get from a data analytics aggregator. Meanwhile, stats show that in the last 30 days across ten different blockchains, there were $2.73 billion in NFT sales.
Monthly NFT turnover close to $3 billion – Axie Infinity, Clonex, MAYC Sales Reign
While the cryptocurrency economy has seen a slowdown, it is too early to say whether or not it is affecting NFT sales. However, monthly statistics show that across ten different blockchain networks including Ethereum, Ronin, Solana, Flow, Polygon, and more, there were $2.73 billion in NFT sales.
The group with the most sales originated from the Ronin chain or the NFT pool of the Axie Infinity blockchain video games. Over the past 30 days, metrics show that Axie Infinity has generated $219.5 million in sales. On a monthly basis, Axie Infinity sales were down 66.51%.
The NFT Clonex group withdrew $212 million over the past month as measured by cryptoslam.io and the Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) generated $209.1 million in sales. MAYC was followed by Bored Ape Yachting Club (BAYC) with $196.2 million in sales for 30 days.
It follows BAYC group Cryptopunks ($144 million), Sandbox ($90 million), Doodles ($85 million), Prime Ape Planet ($76.4 million), RTFKT Clonex Mintvial ($66 million), and Adidas Originals ( $60.2 million).
Ethereum NFT Sales Dominate, Cryptopunk #4156 Sells $10.2 Million
Among the top 20 NFT kits by sales, top gainers include Solana NFT Group, Shadowy Super Coder, up 170.46% this month, Bored Ape Chemistry Club, up 212.60%, and Bored Ape Kennel Club, up 159.19%.
Notable collections over the last 30 days in the top 20 include Doodles (+72.50%), RTFKT Clonex Mintvial (+72.83%), and NBA Top Shot (+87.85%). NFT’s Wolf Game group lost 81.02%, Farmers World lost 89.51%, and Neo Tokyo Identities lost 53.05% last month.
The top blockchain in terms of NFT sales this month is Ethereum (ETH) with $2.3 billion in sales. It is followed by Ronin ETH, with sales of $219 million, and Solana having sales of $109 million last month.
ETH sales increased by 34.41% and Flow sales by 87.33%, while NFT sales for blockchain Polygon jumped by 98.93%. While Ronin’s sales are down 66.51%, cryptoslam.io stats show Solana sales down 10.31%, Wax blockchain sales down 85.07%, and Theta chain NFT sales down 90.31%.
The most expensive sale this month was Cryptopunk #4156 for $10.2 million and three Mega NFTs sold for between $3.6 million and $5.6 million in ether. Cryptopunk #2681 sold for $3.07 million, Meka #2194 sold for $1.8 million this month. Meka NFT was followed by BAYC #3562 for $1.6 million, Cryptopunk #9953 for $1.57 million, and Cryptopunk #2964 for $1.5 million.
